Hi all,
We have been out and about chatting to Sefton residents and gathering valuable feedback on NHS services and Adult Social Care.
We would like to thank you all for your continued partnership and support. By visiting your groups and speaking directly with local residents, we are gathering valuable feedback on NHS services and adult social care. This helps us understand what is working well and where improvements may be needed. Please be assured that we monitor all feedback for key themes and use this evidence to work with commissioners and service providers, with the shared aim of making positive changes and improving services for our communities
We have also joined up and engaged in public places to reach residents via our Community Champion 'Information Hubs' held at:
Bootle Asda
Strand By Me
Meadows Leisure Centre Maghull
St Leonards Pantry
Recent issues raised have included:
GP services
GP access –
Difficulties with on-line services / being told to use on-line
Being told they can no longer access booking appointments in person
Long waiting times on the phones with no appointments being available by time the call is answered.
Lack of continuity of care
Other issues raised include:
Difficulties accessing public transport to services outside of the area
NWAS - long delays with picking up patients after hospital appointments.
A&E - Corridor Care
Would your members / residents like the opportunity to share their experiences of accessing NHS or Adult Social Care services ? If so, contact me and I will arrange to come out and chat with them. Alternatively, you can leave feedback anonymously on the Healthwatch Sefton feedback centre .
