Poppies

Poppies is fundamentally a health and wellbeing project for older people it aims to address the needs of ‘Older People’ without being over prescriptive.

The key aims are to tackle isolation and loneliness, improve physical and mental health, by delivering Physical and Social activities.
It also provides a friendly and supportive environment for all session users, providing opportunities to share information collectively, plus topic-based information sessions throughout the year.

The projects consistency helps to ensure a regular source of shared information, a daily contact point for all users and provides an ongoing source of collective support from staff, and more importantly the users themselves.

We have operated for over 10 years at St. Leonards offering a variety of activities for 55+ local residents. The cost is £3.00 per week, and with this you can attend one session or all of them.
